Am I up too early or are there no PM/poll options in the threads anymore. I think I miss the old look but hey shouldnt complain as it's still a fantastic FREE resource right? And you know what they say:
Change is ........ umm...... what do they say change is again?

Hi all
In my humble opinion I think it is to ' bitty' probably no such term but thats how I would describe it - to many small bits and peices everywhere. But I'm no web designer!

If you click on the name of the person you want to PM a list will come up.
Doesnt look like Polls are enabled at the moment but that could just be something that admin has to sort out yet or specific to certain sections of the forum.

I like the new look - bit cleaner and fresher although I have an issue with the rendering in Firefox on my laptop screen as every click results in TLH login block appearing mid-screen and then being relocated to the left edge of the screen. Irritating.
Not sure how much customisation you have had to do.
What was the rational for moving away from phpbb?

I think there's too much 'stuff' going on and need to make the page wider.
I used to not have to look where I was going I just pointed and clicked but now I have to read each bit to see where I am.
I like the fresh new look though.

I managed to put a poll on one of my threads yesterday. Can't remember how I did it though....
I think I had to go into it after I posted, and then there was an option on a menu...
Hmmm... how vauge am I????

A poll option is given below everything else when I start a new thread. It may be that you need to select a more advanced posting mode in your profile setting (User CP - control panel) though to see this.

It took me a little bit of time to get use to the new format but I think it's great. A lot more features including the search facility and calendar. Keep up the good work web designer guys.

I liked the old site better, but I think it was just because I had got used to it.
I guess I will get used to this one with time too.

I love the clairty of the new site's presentation. It's taking a little time to get used to using it but I think that, like any new program, it comes down to useage.

I think it's easy enough to read and use. Some forums are not as good as others but I would say it would be difficult to pick out a forum that stood out from the rest for clarity , ease of use etc because of the relatively fixed format. So unless you have an idea that changes the way this kind of site works, keeping refreshing the site every so often is probably a good idea, but most of all, listening to the views of the members is the way forward, something you obviously know already!

Other thing I noticed is that they dont have the option they had on the left hand side of viewing new posts since your last visit , that was quite handy but then again I might have just missed it somewhere.

It's in the blue bar at the top about 5th from the left "New Posts".

I love the new look, but I've had a couple of tech problems - I'm not getting email notification of PMs anymore, and sometimes there's a long delay between posting and my post appearing on the forum...anyone else had this?
