I've just joined a local business networking group and wondered if there are any good books about how to get the most out of networking?
Many thanks.

My experience of networking is that you should not expect immediate results although referrals can come quickly. You need to think of it as an ongoing project that will bear fruit given enough time. If you help others then then you will reap the benefits of networking!
Not sure you need a book, just find an old hand at the network you've joined and ask them how to proceed...

You might find this useful, coxadmin. Its been recently published, and at least one of the authors is a prime mover in the Business Referral Exchange, a network of business breakfast networking groups in the UK.

There is a great booked called "the ultimate guide to successful networking" by Carole Stone. It is only £5 and well worth a read.

Thanks, Matt, I'll track that one down and have a look.
If anyone else has any recommendations I'd love to receive them.
