So im thinking of opening like a stall in an inside market thing. In birmingham you can find a few places called "inshops" What would i need to open a stall there?
I already have a name, and products i could sell. But i know i need a license to sell but what kind as its not a shop and anything is needed?

The minimum required would be public liability and traders insurance, available from approx £50-£90 a year, but it would be best to check with the actual location involved, then you are most likely to also provide photo id, a couple of utility bills etc and bank details all in the name of money laundering.
A quick look at the NMTF site will show you the way.

Most indoor market units come with a licence unless it is catering or a speciality trade. What product are you thinking of selling and what is the deal rent and rates wise.
I have had several of these units over the yearsand I can tell you if they are in a good position the expenses arehigh. If not they area waste of time.

I googled Traders Insurance and come up with motor insurance? Haha!

Call in for a chat with the Manager, he/she will be able to advise on what they cover in the rental and what you need to pay for....I have used "In Shops" several times over the years and they can be useful (depending on location).
At the same time as visiting the manager, call into a few unit and chat to other unit holders, they will be able to give you some pointers on insurance, etc.

You mean that you don't yet know what the rents are. What units are available.. I bet you havent got a clue on the margins on gift sets.
Sorry guys this OP is a waste of space to me. Another kid that has been sucking his thumb all night dreaming up useless ideas while the other thumb is up his backside sractching the piles gained from sitting at his PC all day wasting our time.
My final bit of advice to him. Take thumb out of mouth. Drink big glass of Enos or Andrews and that will release your other thumb too. Then use both thumbs to thumb thru yellow pages. Your find Job Centre under 'J'.
Get the idea chum.

How can i find out what units are available if i dont know whats taken etc.. hence asking for help. But its ok, I pulled my thumb out and did something.
Rang up inshop today and spoke to a manager and ive got a meeting with him Monday morning on maybe looking at a slot. Each slot is different sizes, inbuilt counters, water, etc.. so rent is different that was hes words not mine. I would need two forms of id, public liability, and a deposit on a unit. In the weekly rent would include tax, a license, electric and what not.
Ive also got my stock sorted as i brought about £700 worth of gifts such as, sliver wear, birthday gifts such as 18s, 21s keys, christening frames, trinkets and more.
Dont you feel such a prat now? haha
Dont waste your time on this prat, he makes false claims. Oh btw i already have a job as a painter.

and the rent was????????
no good buying the stock without knowing the costs, you know what you can sell the gift sets for? compared the prices around town etc??
cant help thinking this is doomed for failure without the fundamentals known.

Not see the part where i say "Rang up inshop today and spoke to a manager and ive got a meeting with him Monday morning on maybe looking at a slot. Each slot is different sizes, inbuilt counters, water, etc.. so rent is different that was hes words not mine"
And dont you think ive thought of that.
I might go find a more mature forum with advice, instead of getting replies from childish members.

Lets get one thing straight first you foul mouth young man. Call me names in future without justification and I'll have you banned.
You however left yourself open to being called an adolecent waste of space because you don't have a gram of business acuemen and the other market traders will eat you alive.
In fact you couldn't make a days living on selling the junk gifts you got even with no rent to pay and you still don'y know what that is. Well as you say they are all different but I'll give you a guide price. Even a small unit will cost you about £250 quid a week and you will have to take at least that amount every day just to break even on the rent without paying yourself a penny.
Your so called business venture then is doomed and as stupid as the only other thread you have posted on - I quote
Most hosts allow you to have Adult content within reason such as every page full of porn or child, animal etc...
I can even host you as long as your site is not just about pornography.
Not only stupid then but as confused as DWP. I suggest you join him on the magic rounderabout.:rolleyes:
