10 Yetis Writes Free Football World Cup 2006 Team News Guidebook for Journalists

Journalists covering the World Cup 2006 in Germany this summer can now find all those useful stats and quirky figures that the commentators trot out during matches in a free guidebook now available.

10 Yetis, a UK based creative company has prepared a free lighthearted reference guide with information about all 32 teams, from the Ivory Coast right through to Costa Rica.

The guidebook includes background information on each country, the key players to look out for, media opportunities and media threats for every squad, a quote in the style of the BBC’s very own John Motson1 and 10 Yetis verdict on the chances for each team.

The guidebook can be downloaded by visiting http://www.10yetis.co.uk/pr/home.html

Managing Director of 10 Yetis, Jill Tovey, said, “I often wondered how the TV commentators found time to come up with all those quirky facts and statistics and with our free guidebook all journalists covering the World Cup 2006 can save themselves the hassle of having to do the research themselves”.

She continued, “All journalists have to do is log onto the public relations section of the website to be able to easily download or print our handy guide to all 32 teams, we even learnt a few interesting facts ourselves such as; did you know that Costa Rica has over 200 airports without paved runways?”

The guide is freely available to download meaning that it is not only journalists who can benefit.

10 Yetis specialises in translating quirky ideas and designs into commercially successful marketing, public relations and design campaigns and works with a wide mix of companies from fashion right through to accountants.

1. Not actual quotes from John Motson, and he in no way endorses the guide

That was the funniest read I have had in a long while, would you mind if I forwarded that on to some people or put a link to it from my website?

At last someone who speaks the truth, particularly funny was the drogba diving league and the who would name their child KAKA?

We would love it if you did post it around to friends and link to it.

It is more of a viral thing than anything... I don't expect the media will go for it in a big way but just something funny and by the tie the world cup arrives maybe it will have a decent search engine ranking...

If the media only wrote like this we would all buy it!

Looks like a lot of hard work went into that, have you thought about putting it on ebay for a fiver? You'll make a fortune!

Andy,
might want to post it here. www.ezinearticles.com then people can take it and use it on their sites, and voila...retirement awaits in the cayman islands? Well maybe not, but you will get some traffic at least

I was looking at it, some interesting trivia (particularly the Ecuadorian runways).

I don't want to put a damper on it, but is the "David Suker" you mention for the Czech team the "Davor Suker" that played for Croatia?
