Hi All,

Have just started using TAS Basics and looks great.

I have set it up to display £, but the summary (tas basics today) still shows $?

The summary also seems to include deleted invoices etc?

Thanks

Well I partially resolved the problem with incorrect summaries. I had been playing around with the software and entered a large test invoice which still showed after deletion. Ended up starting from scratch.

I am surprised that there is a great VAT return report, but nothing similar for Self Assesment - so I still need to do some Excel work after all?!

VAT return is consistent, the SA changes every five minutes

yeah, thats fair enough. I don't expect it to do it all, but just to list the years Turnover, Allowable Business Expenses (perhaps split as per boxes 10-19 of the SA) & Fixed Assets (with a note that user needs to work it out himself!)

Quick update - whilst I hoped there would be a report for self assesment, it is easier than I thought to retrieve the figures using income, expense & other analysis codes.

I have set it up to display £, but the summary (tas basics today) still shows $?This will be because the Regional Settings in Windows are wrong.

If it's showing $ in the TAS Basics Today dashboard, then it looks like your Windows Regional Settings are set to English (United States) and they need to be set to English (United Kingdom). You'll need to change the setting in Windows Control Panel. After you change the Regional Setting, the next time you start Basics you should see the correct currency symbol in Basics Today.

Sometimes Windows doesn't updatedthe Regional Settings correctly, so you'll find that changing it to something else (e.g. English (Ireland)), restarting the computer and changing it back will force it to update the settings. Or you may need to specifically change the currency symbol in the Additional Settings option in Windows Regional Settings.

thanks, but the regional settings are correctly set to UK and always have been. This is win 7 64 bit.

Any thoughts on the other queries? Thanks
