Payment Methods

I have just been looking for a particular product on the net and the site i found offered "Pay by SMS" or "Pay by 090 Number"

if the service you were buying was less than £20.00 (one off or monthly) would you use this type of payment method?

just wondering if it is worth setting up this kind of service

a) for people to buy from us
or
b) we could become a payment processor for other people by using this method. using our numbers eg. when you click to pay on your site it would take you to a secure page of our site with payment numbers

dont even know if i am going to add this service. just saw it ten minutes ago and brain started ticking

any thoughts?

The thing is with these methods [until I owned one] when I saw them, they just used to remind me of the way porn and chatlines charged and it used to put me off a bit.

But now with SMS being the way it is, it seems they way to go.

I think a responsible seller should, however have an age verification for people using it. How easy would it be fora 9 year old with a PAYG mobile ot order adult material?

I'm not too keen on the idea tbh. It's just too advanced! :D

If you were targetting businesses with this payment method then you couldn't get them to say to their finance dept or someone - to pay using their mobile.

It works for mobile ringtone and picture companies but I don't think the uptake would be huge - if at all.

i think this is the way i was thinking too

it was one of those things that seemed like something i could work with when i saw it at midnight and upon getting up this morning realised i didnt want to anyway
