View Full Version : Outsourcing telephone orders

I'm thinking of trying to get someone to take my telephone orders for me, not necessarily 24/7, but for longer than a lazy Dawg wants to..
Does anyone:
do this?
know someone who does do it?
know about the pros, cons and general pratfalls involved?
Thanks.

... we trialled www.goresponse.co.uk - service was good, but we decided not to go with them in the end, mainly due to cost. They seem pretty competitive, but it didn't work out viable for us with the product we were selling.
may be worth considering though

I may be biased from years of working with big outsourced contact centres, but farming out talking to my customers is the LAST thing I would do.
Lots of pitfalls but one of the trickiest is ensuring that you pay by results and that you choose metrics that measure for the results you want (not just the ones that are easiest to measure).
Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss in a bit more detail.

Do these outsourced call centers take sales and process them or do they literally just pass on the message? I know that may be a stupid question but I'm asking it any way.
