Fusu Group
2nd April 2006, 17:51
Fusu was created in order to better inform new university students about their area and the services available to them, at the same time as bringing them nation-wide companies who offer services or products which would fit into their lifestyle.
The publication is essentially a university lifestyle magazine going to 50,000 first year students across 10 areas, 3 times a year, coinciding with the student loan arriving and their return to campus.
The main focus of the magazine is being written on going out, eating, shopping and music (the principle components of a students life our research shows!) however it will also contain articles written on a range of topics from life as a student through to tongue in cheek student confessions.
An advertising opportunity of this kind has never previously been available as in the past it was not possible to get your advert directly into the hands of the student on their first day as the magazine will be on the desk of 5000 first year students in university accommodation and will be the first thing the student finds in their bedroom when they first arrive after our Fusu crews have helped them move in.
We have a freshers stand at each of the ten universities and there will be teams further promoting Fusu and distributing the magazine all through the first week.
Our research has shown that their is an estimated readership of at least 7,000 as the majority of magazines distributed during the freshers fayre will end up in shared student accommodation.
The advertising is sold per area, so their is a guaranteed readership of 5,000 and an estimated readership of around 7,000 to 9,000.
The web site will be along the same lines such as Itchy Guides(www.itchycity.co.uk) in terms of its ability to search through nights out, eating, shopping etc however it will also feature items such as a forum, fusu discount area, competitions and photo galleries. It will also feature the Fusu search bar, which searches through our site for all sorts of products and services.
The web site will be heavily promoted with numerous pr stunts and on campus advertising, and we hope to have a unique hit rate of around 100,000 in Fusu's first month live and a target of 1 million page views in the first term.
The primary slots such as the back page and inside back page will not be on sale until the beginning of June, however we still have around 20% of the slots in each magazine remaining.
Packages start from just £120 to find out if theres space available in your area contact our sales team at sales@fusu.co.uk
