Hi All,

I was wondering - while still mulling over yesterday's revelations! - whether some stickies on here might help re cashflow if we put our heads together?

I'm predicting a lot more companies will have trouble in the next 0-4 years, and that the previously low level of insolvencies can't continue as a result...

The Insititute of Credit Management - of which I am pleased to be a member - has produced some standard "best practice" booklets in association with the BERR/BIS (I believe it is) to assist businesses with cashflow...

Would not some "sticky" versions of this not offer the "1.01" version of advice/assistance that I can foresee being needed by business owning members of the forum?

Whenever I am asked for the best piece of business advice for a new business, I always say 'watch the cashflow' keep the monthly fixed outgoings as low as possible. It is cashflow that kills businesses, I have seen so many profitable businesses go through due to cash flow problems. :(

I think it is a great idea!

Sorry OWG, looks like apathy - or "Ostrich" - mentality wins out again!

Wonder who will remember this suggestion when the boat has already sailed without them?!? (Or they're up the proverbial creek, and wondering where they left the paddles?)

Idea pending... but ignored due to "apathy" gene...

Thanks Steve - ironically (or not, perhaps!) - you're on my list for "sticky author"!

Go for it Geoff

I've suggested stickies for all kinds of areas in the forum in the past.

People seem to prefer to type the same old same old time after time though!

Fingers crossed matey... still not had any "official" approval... aside from OWG

- and you gotta watch them that know more than the rest of us... (due to their ABUNDANT experience...);)
