I have just started out studying AAT Level 2 in Accounting. I hope to be self-employed at the end of it, and also continue on my journey to becoming a fully pledged accountant. I am loving every minute of the theory of it all even though we have only done Double Entry and Trial Balances so far - next week: Invoicing :D - and can't wait to get into the nitty gritty of doing it for real.
I am looking for work experience and have one place in mind, and a friend who used to be Head of Accounts mentoring me.
Any tips as I go on my journey greatly appreciated. I also hope I can come and ask for help on my accounting studies? (I have only really just got the hang of Double Entry. The time to worry is when I do actually start sitting on the opposite side of the desk......)
