Anara
23rd March 2006, 12:13
I'm just in the process of setting up my online nursery and toy retail busines. I'm going to be specialising in some of the really unusual/rare in the UK toys and also in organic/fair trade/natural items as well as the more mainstream stuff.
The mainstream items will mainly be on buy it nows on eBay and the remained on the web site.
I tested this idea before on eBay and with a website in 2004 but had to close as it got too busy and I was full time employed as well from home. I'm still doing my employed work but now have a partner to help me with the business and home educating my 8 year old son.
I've placed my first three orders now, my logo has been designed and work starts on the website in April.
We chose the name Anara because it's an African word for little one, and we didn't want to pigeon hole the business with a more "baby" name. This was the name fits our expansion plans.
I've been reading these forums for a few weeks and am looking forward to learning lots more.
