Because I wouldn't actually pay even $20 for that website. Your page is over 0.3Mb, meaning it takes time to load on 1Mb, let alone 56k, where the average loading time would be 75 seconds. And I won't even begin on that design, cos I'd be here all day. Clearly the work of an amateur.

I agree that these are not the best examples of templates, but the theory of buying a template is sound in principle, so long as you buy a good one and know how to edit the files correctly.
