Tony - do you own www.sitepal.com too?
If you're advertising in the US you'll defo need a .com rather than .co.uk - or a .net ?

I did own sitepal.com and sold it to oddcast a few years ago
I remain very much part of the company in many ways, ie good affilate commission and rights to sell sitepal to business, again at very good commission rates.
I will be honest i have lost thousands in advertising the product here in the UK
More of my sales to my .co.uk names are from the USA and a few Japan lately
I started out with big ideas and i borrowed more than i should and i do regret that now.
I should of really tested the market first before going in the deep end.
I first started out producing jingles and one day i just come across sitepal in its testing stage and from there i registered the domain names.
Spend hours working on ideas for the product and then got a good commission and so on.
Am i where i like to be? NO
Its a bit like sitting in a New car you dont know how to work everything
I really belive that avatars will become big business in the near future but not the way they work at present.
I think that most folkes here are right in what they say about who wants a talking head going at you when you visit a site. However the fact is the client decides the avatar should talk or wait to be played.
The future of any avatar product is text-2- speech. This software is really improving big time in recent months and in 5 years i dont think you know the difference from generated speech or human.
Will i still be involved in sitepal in years to come well i really hope so having now own greetingpal.co.uk which will be used for mob content in the near future.
With so many professionals here i like to thank you for your support and your time.
Any replys to a post are better than none
Have a good week and i hope by Friday you are richer for it
Best
Tony

I know but affiliates can and do make alot of money and a business that makes it's money from being an affiliate is still a biz :)

Surely you could sell lots of these on MySpace or other social networking sites?
Maybe offer them free with another package?

have a search on this forum for discussions about your product. I think it has more than enough exposure here - if it isn't selling it's not for the want of telling us about it.
