Hi Their,
Just wondering if promo badges would interest any of you in a business promo sense or in a personal sense?
i could offer 100 promo badges for £30 including delivery and was wondering if people feel this is a good or bad idea or good or bad price.
Please let me know your views as im seriousley considering adding this to my product range.
Regards,
Callum Slade

They are selling badges with silly sayings on in my local video shop, they are selling at a £1 each. Maybe something you could do?
They have a display box on the counter, with one of each sayings in and they did have keyrings too at about £1.99 each, but didn't see them on my last visit.

Hi Jayne,
Yeh its all a good idea, would you think £1.10 including delivery is to much to pay for 1 custom badge?
Also do you think there is a promo market out their for businesses who want printed badges?
Regards,
Callum Slade.

There could be a good market for badges. If I was you, I'd approach greeting card companies too, how many cards have silly badges saying old fart etc on them.
£1.10 isn't much and could appeal to younger people too. In the 80's they were badge mad and trend's always go in circles, I think it's due for another time around?

Callum,
If I were you I would target the music market, badges are a popular band merchandise product. Bands will also be attracted to the fact that you will do small quantities.
Charities are also a good customer for that type of product.

Why not just add them, then you can see if they're successful? By adding them to your online product range, it doesn't cost anything, so nothing is lost if no one orders it.

My first post :)
I think this is a good idea Callum. You may wish to contact a few of the many bands on the internet to check out the market for band related keyrings/badges before you buy expensive kit.
Some sites to check out are:
* music.podshow.com
* www.electromancer.com
* www.myspace.com
* www.garageband.com
I hope this helps

Hi Callum,
I don't see them as a business promo tool, but agree with fellow posters about their potential in other markets. I guess it's up to you to explore those markets; but can you justify the time factor required added to the cost of the machine?
Cheers, Nigel

The machine im thinking about getting can do 300 badges per hour so it wouldnt be very time consuming...
Whats everyones overall view now?

Callum, I've researched the Promotional side to the badges and only about 10% of the potential businesses I asked were interested, if I were you I would take the music and band route! :D

I think Matt is right Callum. In my opinion - which could be wrong of course - not a lot of businesses would be interested in them.
Better to try bands and music.
