There needs to be. It's dreadful, imo.

Digita, Iris, PTP, Sage, Keytime - to name a few but they are all aimed at accountants so not sure if thats what you need/want?

many accountants swear by the payroll software and have dumped programs costing 10x the amount in favour of it

now i sound like a moneysoft pimp

We use the payroll program. The accounting program is a completely different kettle of fish - I cannot stand it.

Nor could I. I tried it a while ago after converting to their payroll but I just couldn't work with it at all - seemed very counter-intuitive - gave up on it and stayed with VT. I think they also did a database which I tried as well but again couldn't understand how it worked or what it could do. They've got such a good name with Payroll it would be good if they could produce other software of the same standard and ease of use.
