PLEASE HELP! Global Barriers & Incentives to E-Commerce

Hi i am currently studying IT at my local college and much to my demise i have been given an E-Commerce assignment to complete. Now i don't know much about E-commerce at alland i was wondering if you guys could help me out a little. :(

I need someone to give me a detailed explanation to what the Global Barriers and Incentives are to trading online with E-Commerce. If you could do this for me i'd really be grateful. :lol:

Goods often cheaper from abroad
Wider selection
Earlier availability

Cons:
High shipping costs
Longer delivery times
Import taxes
Incompatibility issues
Lack of guarantees/warranties
