Hi
After returning from working abroad for a number years, I am finding it hard to open a personal bank account and a ltd co business account.
I am a UK citizen, with a full passport, however my problem is I just rent a room in a house with all bills included in the rent so am finding it really difficult to prove my address.

Any help on this would be really appreciated.

P.s. I am not looking to lend money on any of the accounts, just to process potential customers fees.

Regards

Do you not have a letter or document addressed to you from HMRC or other government department? This should normally be accepted as proof of address?

I have the ltd company formation pack but nothing else. Do you know of anything I could apply for to receive a letter back?

If you have a driving licence notify a change of address it only takes about 10 days even if you have to get a new photo card one.

You could also do as Dave suggests and register you limited company there too. You can always change it later. Use companiesmadesimple and you can do it on-line. Only takes a few minutes and you get the elctronic docs thru in a couple of hours. Cost just £16.99.

Bank accounts. You can get both completely non status at Natwest once you have proof of address and passport. They will also want to see the incopration certificate and A of A for the company account

Hope the info helps. Here is the ling to the registras
