Hi all,

This is my profile;

Simon Stevens is chief executive of Enable Enterprises, which he started in 1998. Having cerebral palsy, Simon has always defied conventions. He went to mainstream education when he was 11 and achieved a full education, going on to Coventry University to gain BSc Manufacturing and Business Studies.

As a leading disability consultant, trainer, researcher, advocate and most recently doing some acting, Simon won the Community Category of Enterprising Young Brit in 2004. As well as appearing on the front cover of the Guardian in a campaign advert for Scope, Simon’s latest achievement is starring on the disability comedy pilot of Channel 4's “I’m Spazticus” in his own segment called “Simon Says”.

Over the years, Simon has been involved in many organisations including Scope since 1994, becoming Vice Chair of East Midlands Partnership Committee in 1999. Simon is also a founding member of European Human Bridges, a network of disabled and non-disabled young people in over 25 countries.

Simon has employed his own personal assistants since 1992 and has helped other set up and run their own personal assistance packages.

Simon is a keen swimmer and is a former swimming champion; he also loves water sports including canoeing, waterskiing, jet skiing, windsurfing and lots more. He also likes doing wrestling and fencing!

Simon’s ambition is to be successful in everything he does and to boldly go where no cp has gone before!

I am look for any help or advice people can give me!
