View Full Version : UKBF Magazine?

It seems to me that there a lot of excellent tips that come up repeatedly in this forum from people that actually know what they are talking about (or at least pretend to!).

Why not publish UKBF as a bi-weekly or monthly "exclusive to UKBF members" magazine?

Not only would it be an excellent opportunity to network and get to know each other better, but the best tips from the forums (either hand picked by the mods or publishers or even both) could go in as features.

Revenue could be generated from ads in the magazine itself and the likelihood of generating something from that magazine should be higher than normal as we all have a genuine interest for each others business and all offer each other certain exclusive discounts.

The content is then made of tips from the forums as well as articles from members who have been chosen to write something specific for the mag along with any other content that we agree on.

It could be an "opt-in" in your profile and you receive the mag for free. It might encourage others to join the community for these offers as well and in turn help everybodies business. I would personally love to have a mag with your opinions and news in, as well as having a handy reference guide to all of the special offers that you guys can do.

Obviously the idea needs development but what do you think?

This could be the answer to not being charged any cash for the ukbf! Ozzy could sell a ukbf mag and i know most of us would buy it meaning he would get something back from what he has created!

Nice idea...

Thank you thats the plan! Keeping the price low and generating a long revenue stream from ads that you all know you would place :D.

It's something that we are all capable of contributing to and it could be produced cheaply (as far as I would guess!). I guess the money is secondary but if we all think its a good idea it's something that certainly should be looked into.

Or that yes :D.

I tend to flick quite quickly through email newsletters though rather than hold on to them for future reference. Can't speak for you guys but I know a lot of people who do the same

Thanks, Tom.

I can't believe that I have been a forum member for many months and have never spotted these newsletters. Is it possible that they don't appear on the list when I click on 'View posts since last visit'?

Am I the only one who was blissfully ignorant of the newsletter?
