confused

Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right place for this post or not, I think it is.
I was wondering what the situation was with putting a client list or similar on my site, with links to pictures on the clients webistes so that people are able to see the work that has been done and such, do I need to ask or can I just go ahead and put them on there?
Thanks

If you have designed those pictures and still own the copyright to them, you can put them wherever you please.
However out of common courtesy I would suggest contacting those people to let them know that that is what you are going to do. If they have any issue with it, explain you are doing it to drive more traffic to their site.

Hi Calv,
I think it would be a good idea to contact your customers and ask for permission first.
We do this with our newsletter and include them as case studies - it also provides the customer with a free form of advertising.
One problem may be is that you might be providing your competitors with a list of your customers.

Hi,
thanks for the replies, the only problem with one of the clients is that the company is a bit big and I may have to go through all sorts of channels to get an "ok" but I'll try asking the staff first and see what they say. This particular client doesnt really need a lot of advertising.
One more question, when the clients centre(s) was initially designed/implemented this was done by myself and a collegue when we worked for our previous emplyer (who went into liquidation and no longer exists), DatacomUK now support the centre, what can I and cant I put on my website regarding this?
this is one of the links I would like to put (http://www.bbc.co.uk/southyorkshire/content/image_galleries/radio_sheffield_photo_tour.shtml?6)
Thanks

Yes, thats exactly what I mean - with a few links rather than pinch the other photos, I'll do as you suggest and ask the centres staff, might also ask if they mind me taking some pictures. What I dont want to happen is someone higher up the chain start having a go if you see.
