Morning all.
How quickly do you normally see an increase in SERPs from adding content?
Saturday i added some body content onto my front page. Targeting a few keywords.
Today, i have ran a rank check in web ceo, and have gained up to 30 positions for the keywords.
Is it normal to see it happen that quick?
Thanks
Dan

Lets say you have 10 things that rate and rank a page.
You have 9 things done well and the 10th hasnt been done to the best? If you do the tenth - the entire sum would be complete and you may see a rise
Just an analogy.
But it could be a google dance with your serp so give it a few weeks to stabilise.
But it is common to see huggggeee rises in serps with quality content.

Buy adding content to your website you are providing google with more information. By adding more information you may be mentioning other terms.
In effect your widening you net to capture more and more terms.
This is also done by varying the terms on pages and linking between them.

I added some metatags and within a week on page 1 from nowhere for a very low keyword, fancy dress (town)

depends how competitive the keywords are really. Just out of interest how many people use things like web CEO?
I've never really used SEO software tools, never found the need.

You see the results as quickly as you get crawled. ffor example http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=&q=How+quickly+would+you+see+an+increase..+&sourceid=navclient-ff&rlz=1B3GGLL_en-GBGB381GB383&ie=UTF-8 this thread is 2 hours old and ranks top 3
