Dear all,
I am a newly qualified ACA (qualified in December 2009.) I work in a mid tier firm and have an ambition to have my own practice. I am currently pondering taking the CTA exams. I have a few questions that I hope someone may be able to answer:
1. Is it useful to do the CTA after having done the ACA ? I foresee myself as an accountant to individuals/sole traders and was pondering whether the CTA would be necessary ?
2. I currently work in audit and am thinking of moving the the tax dept. I was wondering whether there are any good specialised tax practices that anyone is aware of as I want to build my tax knowledge in a specialised area ?
3. What to people foresee as a niche in the market at the moment from a tax perspective ?
Some basic questions but am at a brainstorming stage at the moment.
Thanks,
Mo.
