common Google map mistake

Just a quick one.
After fixing a few google maps for people, I have noticed that they have done one simple mistake.
When you start to input your details make sure that the top right corner is set to UK.
If you upload to US it will take 4 weeks to take effect and changes will take a lot longer before they are seen.

Errr ?????? hhmmmmmm WHAT? :| That just blew my mind. If i wasnt fasting i would ask you for a glass of whatever you had. :D
But I will try and explain again.

Uk server GOOD
US server BAD

More detail for everyone else :D
Think of it this way its like having you filling cabinet in France and your office in the UK. If you submitt your map listing while logged in US it will take longer to update in future.


Are you telling me Google was telling us to go to a street called the commons and not the shopping outlet? But, wait there was that little shopping outlet down the road called the commons but where is the rest of it? We stopped and got some pizza and asked the people that worked there how to get to Woodbury Commons. They said “Wait, you don’t think you’re up state do you? There’s a Woodbury Commons down the street but it’s not like the Woodbury Commons upstate.” It turns out The Woodbury Commons Premium Outlet is an hour north of where my girl friend lives and not south… What are the chances that there is a street called “The Commons” in the town of Woodbury and it’s the same distance away from where my girl friend lives (this is all we knew about where it was located)?
