Hi
Anyone any ideas...? When I plug the memory stick in, a box with a torch comes up with the words Autoplay. But then nothing. It's not registering that it's a memory stick.
All ideas gratefully received,

Sounds like the hard drive is searching for audio / video files on the memory stick. Your media player will then play them automatically, the same thing as if you put in a dvd.
Do you have files stored on it Hayles or is it a blank memory stick?

Try a reboot in the first instance. If it read the stick before, it sounds as though the drivers have 'dropped out'. :)

ok try this, right click my computer, then manage, then disk management and see if your stick shows as healthy. Are you able to acess the pen (start/run type in the drive letter it would be eg G:\)

Thanks everyone.
Will try the above but now the stick's not working in either computer (not showing up on My Computer as a removable thingy either. It was before).
I think it's dead...?

yeah if its doing it in another it would indeed look like it has gone to the pen drive heaven. Some manufactueres have a utility to "reset" it but the limited times I have tried this it has been unsuccesful
