Just to clear something up, that many people seem to be disillusioned by.

.co is a "Columbian" domain extension not a "company"

here is the proof:

Can see them being a big flop, but is it correct that Google have enabled geo locations for the .co domains in webmaster tools so you can choose your target country?

Ben it is in the international TLD's bracket. Why? I have no idea, but sources other than Wiki have stated it to be international. Our domain registrar have said the same thing. I believe that its an Email company that's behind it.
Will dig out the articles.
