Any of you technical bods suggest why my copy of Netscape Navigator is suddenly refusing to load? It was working fine last night and when I strted up this morning it just keeps crashing. I'm using version 7.2 on a Mac G4 using OSX 10.3.

I've reinstalled Netscapew several times and get the same results. I went back and installed Communicator 4.7, which uses OS9 and that works fine.

I can work around it but my Navigator has all my bookmarks and address book.

People actually use Netscape? Even more, with Safari available?

Anyway, try going into Library->Preferences-> and trash your .plist file and anything else related to Netscape. See if any files exist in Library-Application Support as well.

Hi,

You will be better off with FireFox :)

Yep use Safari or Firefox,

however saying that isn't firefox, by mozilla based on gecko and thus the current incarnation of the netscape rendering engine.

Damn geeky!

Well this is interesting... I did what MacMyDay suggested and it's still not working. Even the Mozilla programme itself is crashing. However Firefox and Thunderbird ARE working.

Looks like I'm working with them for the moment, then... :D

Mock Netscape all you like. I always found it a good one-stop shop for browser, mail and newsgroups.

I was not mocking it, I am a furvent gecko man and have been customising NN for clients for years now.

IE 7 is weak at best.
