Would you rather see who you were dealing with on their website or not?
Just a question as I'm not sure whether to put the pictures on my website?

i wouldnt recommend it.. some people are very judgemental and will base their judgement on using ur service by checking the photos...

It really depends upon whether you're goodlooking, or not. This may come across as sarcastic (which is far beyond my makeup) but some photos are generally 'pleasing' and invoke a feeling of trustworthiness and welcoming.
On the other hand, some who maybe not quite so blessed aesthetically, may appear as a 'mug shot' from Scotland Yard, which would/may denigrate the product you're trying to promote.
I, of course, belong to the former scenario, and display my photo.
Cheers, Nigel

I take your point on peoples opinions, and also with Blackberry on the judgemental factor it might play

I fund having a photo on here made people focus on my photo more than my work, so I removed it. The one on my website is there to show, I can look professional, as often the ones my custoers see in the press are terrible as they have been shot by over enthusiastic journalists!

Proves my point! If you were dog ugly, people would not have even looked at your site!

Ouch! You are so harsh Nigel. Anyway, I have looked on your site and can't find your pic, have you got a 'Where's Wally' competition going on?

I tend to think that if two people phone you asking if you want their business, you're more likely to remember the photo person.
It's easier to talk to someone when you know what they look like and a professional photographer should be able to make you look good no matter what.
Saying that, Andy and I aren't going to be on our new website, so maybe I should just take my own advice rather than giving it :)

yes - I think it's a good idea. I also think it adds gravitas to your site. There are alot of people out there who talk about the royal "we", when they are clearly a one man band operating out of their spare room.
This all falls down when your staff look like the rejects from the local "care in the community" programme though!

why dont you test the conversion rates before and after people have seen the pics ;)
this should determine it!!
