Typepad or Wordpress.

Would be really useful to get some info as to whether I should go for typepad or wordpress for a couple of blog type sites.

As I understand it, wordpress seems better from a technical point of view, but I really like the simplicity of typepad.

I have no knowledge of code or anything technical so would like to be able to use a site that is fairly idiot proof.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Wordpress doesn't have to be technical.

I set my 'pa up with it to share his music with people (singer / song writer) - He's the most technophobic person I know! He manages perfectly fine! :)

Core usage of Wordpress is a doddle. Really. And if you get stuck someone here will explain. But Wordpress allows the possibility of a whole world of other functions. You might never use them but they are there. Why bother with an alternative that isn't as capable, and charges from $9/month?

wordpress 100%, wordpress is far better with the the amount of expansion available with plugins.

You can also run wp from one install (called wpmu (wordpress multi user))

As Dawg said - WP is pretty easy. But holds excellent features should you wish to exploit them.

If you do get stuck - pop back here... there's plenty of us who use wordpress :)
