There's always a moment in every companies history where something goes wrong, which is followed by more and more of it. Google, just like Microsoft, is so well known that their entire philosophy is being questioned and law suites are flying everywhere. Just like how Microsoft failed with their emphasis on security via Hotmail/Passport because of their own security problems, I can see something similar happening with Google, and probably Apple in the music area. The larger you are, the bigger the target you become!
