I'm looking for a tagline to use on promotional material.

The aim of the business is to provide holidaymakers with accommodation, and links to car hire, flights and travel insurance.

Can anyone think of a good tagline?

The winner will win a blankety blank cheque book and pen... oh sorry I mean a Worldwide Holiday Homes mousemat

What you're selling point?

Oh, forget it, that's too much like hard work, I'll just do what the pros do:

"Number one for holiday accommodation, car hire and travel insurance!"

I've a few monkeys working upstairs on the USP's as I am still struggling with that one - but I thought I would run this one by the forum - as this is what forums are all about..

Good Apprentice blog btw.

I was making 2 points with my previous answer.

My first point was that I believe, to have meaning (and power), a tagline is an expression of the (unique) value you bring to your clients.

And, without knowing that, what's a tagline going to be?

Probably just the same nonsense that you can find anywhere there are a lot of adverts:

"number 1 for holidays"

"for all your holiday needs"

"the holiday people"

and such nonsense.

My advice is to figure out (or develop) your unique selling point(s) and use that to create a tagline that has real meaning and positions you ahead of your competitors.

My second point was to ridicule those in the marketing industry who's work is so poor that the best they can offer their clients is nonsense like "number one for ...."

(though those people must be getting a lot of work, judging from the ads in my local yellow pages)

Good Apprentice blog btw.

Thanks. Wait until they start getting marketing tasks to do, then you'll see me get really stuck into them!
