Changing year end with HMRC

Hi

Would like to change a CT year end with HMRC from 31 October to 31 December, can anyone tell me if this can be done online? I've been given a number for Aberdeen office 01224 401772 but it's constantly engaged. I've also sent a fax but received no reply and any correspondence we have from hmrc has no email address. I've filed the relevant form with companies house.

You have to write to them (it's much quicker than telephoning, anyway)

If you've now got a 15 month period from, for example, 01/11/09 to 31/12/10 you will need to file two corporation tax returns with those accounts.

Yes, writing to them will be a lot easier and less frustrating.
