Sir Alan Sugar may be at the top of him game, with his top rated TV show “The Apprentice” and a fortune estimated to be approaching the 1 billion mark, however it is Sir Rich Branson’s business card that is most sought after by entrepreneurs.

According to a recent poll carried out by MK Printing, Sir Richard Branson has come out as the clear favourite as the UK’s most respected entrepreneur. And no wonder – any entrepreneur would be thrilled to run into the ‘Rebel Billionaire’ at a networking event and get some business advice.

With Branson’s best selling autobiography “Losing my Virginity” being classed as one of the most inspirational business books ever written, anyone starting a business should class this as a ‘must read’. His forward thinking business approach and his innovative style, has made him a business hero and a national treasure.

David Bentley, from the Manchester Business Consortium, stresses how important business cards are to any new business. Business cards are pound for pound, one of the best investments any business or entrepreneur can make. A business card should be well designed, clear to read and printed on thick quality card. Getting quality business cards is NOT expensive, for example local printers ‘MK Printing’, design, print and deliver 5000 high quality cards for just £89 and 500 laminated cards for just £75.

Runners-up in the poll included Stelios Haji-Ioannou (EasyJet founder), Martin Webb (‘Risking it All’) and not surprisingly Sir Alan Sugar. The poll was carried out with new start up and established businesses.

The second series of the “The Apprentice” is currently running on BBC 2, Wednesdays at 9pm. Sir Richard Branson’s autobiography is available at all good book shops.

Is it just me or would you "Not in a million years" work for Alan Sugar. He maybe rich and may offer a 6 figure salary but to me not everything is about money. I find him rude, arrogant and talks to people as if he is God and you are S**T. I personally would have big arguments with him for treating me like crap. Also did anyone watch the aftershow of the apprentice on BBC3 last week. On there was his closest friend. A property tycoon and straight away I said to my missus that he is not one to be trusted. He seems like a gangster and I wouldn't put it past Sir Alan to also have a few heavies round the place . I just don't trust either of them but the Apprentice is a brilliant show :D

Although I have a lot of respect for Sir Alan, I would not like to work for him, or for anyone in such an environment. I enjoy working for myself and I would find it hard to actually work for anyone again.

I don't! My company has stated values, and we will never stray from them. Among them are respect for the individual, integrity and transparent honesty, and helping everyone in this world to realise their potential. You can't do that with an inflated ego.
