The backlinks are only part of it. you get a host of benefits, the signature links being one of them.

Totally agree. You go out there buy links to cache your website, where as one link from her will get your site cached in hours.
Best £36 you will ever spend.

I own excelforum.com and i wish people there had similar thoughts :(
They wont agree to paid subs model.

Do be aware that signature links should not be considered particularly strong links once Google's filtered them.

Most people think of links for ranking purposes, though - I'm just trying to downplay that expectation.

but i regulary made changes to sites i placed in the sig, and i still dont get shifted in the rankings until about 15:00pm every friday.
Maybe it works for some and not for others.

UKBF FOLLOWED KEYWORD RICH ANCHOR TEXT SIGNATURE LINKS ---> my secret weapon to be employed if I start dropping down the rankings.
Haven't needed them yet to get on the 1st page of Google... however I know where they are if I need them.
