I'm recruiting for a huge Client who need someone to can design and develop the equipment used to build a network NOT just develop it.
It's proving a nightmare.
Firstly, do you know anyone? And secondly...where do I start???

Are you talking about actually designing networking hardware and software/operating systems?

Can I ask why they want to design there own, is it stuff that doesn't exist now?

I knew the guys from Noraut who wrote the software for the poker machines. Quite a few years ago I was involved with them on a project to network their machines, and they wrote their own network operating system over the xmas holidays because everything out there had too much baggage and the timings were not good enough for the task they had planned. they also designed their own pcb to put inside the machine which linked to the network via standard Cat5, which impressed me no ends.
As Lee says above, its a tall order, and few people not already gainfully employed would be available mefinks.
Unless you have something very specific in mind, I fail to see how something is not already out there which could be customised to suit you.

No idea why they're designing their own to be honest, only reason I can think is because it's for the release of a new product of their own coming out.
Thanks for your reply Comspec, looks like I've got alot of work to do!
