I agree with digiwebsol!

Whats your website domain name? I'll run a few tests on the site if you want?

Based on the competing pages of 41,000 you'll be looking at around 4 or 5 months if you want to do things the normal way.

Now the only thing l looked at was just the competing pages.

There are other things to evalute like

1. The page title
2. Backlinks quality
3. Domain age e.t.c

Of sites ranking on the first page of Google that you hope to displace.

Should be easy if you know what you're doing.

Good luck!

I only get 5,700 (allintitle:) should be pretty easy. But as also suggested look at the competitors!

:) Good luck!

I get About 1,840,000 results when I searched for it on google. One technique you could use for quicker results is to create a quick marketing video and distribute it with those keywords as the title. You'll get to the top of the videos list very quickly :)

Based on the competition on the first page of google for this term it should be easy to get on the first page. I say this because the first page results have few back links and if you have good content a clean site with good quality back links you will achieve first page rankings. The number one position has very few backlinks although they have been around since 2007 and the domain has the keywords in.

11 "phrase" searches for that keyword per day on .co.uk and 79 globally.
1980 competing desc pages, 735 title competition on .co.uk and 41,700 desc + 35,700 title competition globally. Page 1 has 8 sites with PR2-6 but as other have pointed out no big back links so yes you should be able to get on page 1 and perhaps get 2-3 clicks per day.

The days are long gone when the number of competing pages could be used as a useful measure of competition in the search engine results.

Using the "allintitle" syntax in Google (as others have mentioned) will help give you an idea of how many sites are competing for a particular search phrase, but this isn't particularly helpful for finding out how easy it will be to rank highly.

Quite simply, the only way to find out how easily you can rank on Google page one, is to look at the other websites already ranked there in more detail.

Even if the competition turns out to be low enough for you to consider trying to reach page one, this will all be worthless if there isn't the volume of searches per day to make whatever product or service you intend to promote successful.

Are you sure 1 or 2 visitors per day is going to be enough?

Cheers

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the response and you mention good points. To answer your question, 1 or 2 hits a day would probably be suffice as SEO is not really the focus of my marketing efforts. I have some important off-line strategies and am going to try and use social media as much as pos also as my target market use this heavilly. Mostly, I am desperate to learn as much as pos about SEO - I am fascinated by it! And I think this could help me learn.

Thanks,

Zac.

Don't be fooled by people telling you ranking will be easy. PPC costs on this phrase are around £1.20 per click so it's only a matter of time before others wake up to its value.

Create good content and look for good links and build something that's hard to beat. IMHO UK businesses are finally waking up to creating better sites and better optimised content.
