Anyone who watched the rather painful episode of The Armstrongs last night will have seen at first hand how important it is to have some professional linguistic help before trying to negotiate a deal with a foreign client.

If anyone on the forum wishes to buy or sell in a foreign land please feel free to contact us and allow us to assist in translating your marketing material, sales pitches and introduction letters.

It may not be as expensive as you think and it may well mean the difference between success and failure.

Again I watched through my fingers.

I just loved the bit where the woman said "we don't need that ****** working for us, we have enough of those already!"

Nothing like having a good team around you.

I was wondering-did they think they were buying a property that was already built??? Or were they aware it wasn't built yet? t wasn't clear to me on the programme but I may have missed something!
I can't believe they didn't hire a translator both for the sales pitch and more importantly for the contract!

I was cringing quite badly at the attempt to sell to the frenchies! Surely, if they were taking it seriously they would have employed a translator (they can afford 'Bazil' the motivator!!) and dressed a bit smarter to impress!! "70 Sausages" made me laugh!!

The funniest part was the jag being crunched - she said "we work bloody hard for this" - really? No evidence so far!

I'm still struggling to totally believe it all.....

I love the bit where they thought conservatories in french actually translated as 'music academies' :)

And that ******* quote was priceless! Ricky Gervais couldn't write it funnier than this (genius though he is ;))

Saying all that, I *do* actually admire them for having a go. At least they are trying.
