Hi folks,
I was looking at toshiba http://www.neowin.net/news/toshiba-is-building-world039s-lightest-laptop
However seems its only available in japan now.
Any ideas what laptop comes closes to it?
Cheers,

Personally I have always liked the Lenovo Thinkpad. The X series are pretty light (not under 1kg but probably around 1.3kg) and performance and construction are pretty good.
Or if you don't mind a smaller screen then Fujitsu have some good small systems which are under 1kg but have smaller screens (10 or 11 inch I think).

Seen the Dell Adamo ?
Though I see Toshiba are claiming a new kind of battery technology...

Depends what you need it for really.
If you don't mind having a small screen, you could always just get a netbook. I've been using an Acer Aspire1 Pro for awhile now when i travel out on business as it's very light but still quite efficient (battery lasts about 5-6 hours) and is still powerful enough to allow me to write and test programs on.
