Hi can anyone tell me how long it takes for google ads to start showing?

It was set up on Monday but nothing appearing as yet.

You mean AdWords? It will appear almost instantly. Changes take about 10 minutes to appear, sometimes even less. You might find that you're not bidding enough and therefore your ads aren't appearing on page 1.

Also i've learnt that if you don't put enough money up for the daily budget then you wont get shown enough.

Basically they require you to have enough daily budget to cover the eventuality that there might be a click on every impression. If not it will limit the number of impressions to match your budget!

Just a quick update. the ads are now running. They were being reviewed hence delay.

I know it's all sorted, but for the record...

Google AdWords usually show up within the hour, but Overture frequently take several days to review ads, particularly when there are other people already bidding for the words.
