Hi All - I have just joined your forum. I am a web marketer of 3 years standing, and have also started my own online wedding planning website. I am:
married to a self employed person
blessed with 3 kids
going grey
the owner of a staffy bull terrier
I don't have enough:
hours in the day
wine in my system
cash in the bank
all the answers

Hi Tala -
Hmm good question. Well the online business has been going since Dec 05 and it is not as easy as people think it is, but then as a web marketer I knew that. It is a case of always trying to think of new ways to promote the site as cost effectively as possible - offline particularly.
I don't actually work from home, I have a small office but I get that at a reduced rate because I am a new business - again, I got that on the strength of my web marketing business not the online business.
As for risks - yes - lots - I am not a huge risk taker - to be honest, i wish I were more of a risk taker but with kids and a mortgage (and a staffy bull!!), it is not that easy.
Oooh I could go on and on! If you want me to write something for your website about women being self employed/in a technical industry/running an online business/balancing work and home drop me a line, only too pleased to oblige!!
