Hi
I am looking for an accountant to help me. I am using Solar accounts to try and keep upto date with whats going on.But for the annual returns and HMRC stuff i was ideally looking for someone to take over that part. I am only just trading...to be honest things are very slow so there aren't alot of monthly transactions.

I am a Ltd company but NOT VAT regsitered as yet.

Is anyone from the slough area or the local vicinity that i could perhaps meet with???

I am also after some advice if anyone has a few minutes to spare regarding a CT41G HMRC form. With regards to the first company accounting period and the date that the company intends to prepare it's accounts. Do these dates need to or should correspond to the dates given by companies house???

Sorry if it's a simple question but any advice will be appreciated

Thanks

Kam

Hi Kam

I dont know of any accountants on the forum that are from Slough.

I'm not in the Slough area but if you'd be happy working on line I'd be glad to help.

Once you have appointed an accountant they will deal with the CT41G - its a very simple standard form for an accountant. Its easiest to get the financial year end dates with HMRC and Companies House the same, and again an accountant will deal with this for you.

Hi

The simple answer for the CT41G is to have your year end the same as the Accounting Reference Date at Companies House. If you want a different one, you should change it at Co H as well.

Your start date is the date you started trading but note that if this first trading period spans more than 12 months you will need 2 Corporation Tax returns in the first period (but you don't need to worry about this too much as you plan to instruct an accountant).

We're not in Slough but the other partner in Farrant Frost, David, travels near Slough regularly, so if you wanted to meet face to face, I'm sure we could arrange that.
