Hi
My name is Nick, i'm a 22 year old fitness instructor and I want to set-up a personal nutrition consultancy from home. I have been reading this forum for a few days and the quality of posts and advice is awesome.
You guys can help me with market research by visiting this online survey for 2 minutes and completing the 10 tick-box Qs:

Everyone eats food and most people are unhappy with their physique/health, therefore there are many potential clients for me.
I am planning to do a big leaflet drop this summer. I am also currently working at a health club and will gain clients/referrals from this source. After this I believe word-of-mouth will be a main source of new clients, along with good pricing/reward strategies.
Thanks for the help guys.

Just to make a quick point. There is a large difference between those that are unhappy with their health and those that want to actively alter it. For example, there are a load of bad websites out there. Millions. But then only a small percentage of these owners want to do something about it, even a smaller percent want to pay for it, and even a smaller percent of that want to pay a good price for it. Your target audience will be a lot smaller than you anticipate.
Oh, and welcome ;)

Hi and wishing you luck
There are lots of people out there who need help and are looking actively for it.
Perhaps some research into other web sites and companies might help

Hi Nick
As a fellow personal trainer it is good that you are lending your skills to the public.
Bear in mind that only qualified nutrtionists can give professional advice even if your nutrtional knowledge is good which i am sure it is we as personal trainers can not prescribe nutrtional progammes without a professional qualification.
I am qualified in nutrtion via the fitness industry however, i can still not prescribe a nutrtional programme, i can however advise my PT clients on good nutrtional practices.
Hope this info helps

Hello,
I need to change my diet dramatically, but the thing is much as I know I need to, I really cant be bothered, even though my healths at stake.
Theres lots of people like me, infact probably the majority of your potential clients are like me. I'd suggest doing a motivation course so you can get us all off our bums!
