I am a very new user to accounting software, having previously used Excel to do all my book keeping.
I have tried many different packages and found TAS to be the easiest and most straight forward to use.
However, I have encountered an odd problem, I have some allocation of payment issues with a particular supplier and when I try to allocate payment I get the following error
"An error occurred whilst trying to read the payment allocation history for this transaction and as a result cannot be unallocated"
Anyone had a similar experience or now the solution.
Any help appreciated.

I'm pleased you've found the program easy to use so far.

Unfortunately the error message you received suggests that some information in the payment allocation records for that supplier has been damaged. The most common cause of data damage is an unexpected shutdown of the computer (e.g. power failure) or some other problem which caused the program to stop at the time is was reading or writing information to/from the database.

Because of the nature of the problem, it's not possible fix this yourself. It will require attention from one of our support technicians, as the problem is in the database itself. One of our support team can correct the problem for you and run some additional checks to ensure that only this records has been affected.
