I found a domain name available,

the

.com
.co.uk
.net
.org
.info
.Biz

all taken,

But......

.org.uk is available.....

Would that be te sign of a domain name worth reg'ing?

Or is org.uk a bit crap ??

Massey, do you actually spend any time doing electrical work?! Whenever I am on here you're always asking about the latest website or SEO work on a particular site.

You must spend a fortune (i'm including your cost for time) on this.

Going back to the question, do you want it for SEO purposes? I take it you do, as why would it be an advantage to have a site that has 6 other possibilities for people to visit other than yours?

Why not just have one site that is well designed and optimised and will enable you to build a proper brand?

Do you visit .org.uk websites? Many websites use the .org.uk for their main domain?

Personally not worth it unless the domain is really valuable, i just stick to the .co.uk, .com and maybe .net, anything else isn't really worth it.

Because he wants to stop other co's using the same name as him, was common in the late 80's and 90's to buy all.

I'm at work :p

I'm boss so I play on my iPhone .

It has nothing to do with my company, it's financially related.

Is org.uk worth the reg?

But he doesn't own all of them does he?

So then Massey, what is it for? Is it an organisation that would potentially (maybe) benefit from having that extension?

I'm not sure I'm green when it comes to the world of buying and selling domains.

Were you buying it to sell on then? I'm not sure anyone would pay highly for a .org.uk, and if it is relevant to another business they could push you to give it to them for free.

Go back to playing on your iphone! :D

depends on what you are going to use it for???

If to monitize then whats the exact search volume?

Orgs do rank quite well, but like everything need the effort put in

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal?forceLegacy=true

according to that on exact,

1000 local 2400 global

so worth more
than reg fee?

worth regging 'if' you can monitize the domain, are there any affiliates about?

Personally I wouldn't reg it though

I might use it as a learning curve, I see a lot of domain forums where people just park them and wait for a buyer.

I might reg it tonite and post it on heretomo, hopefully you won't be calling me an idiot for reg'n it :D
