Hi
Has any online retailer ever tried price comparison sites such as Shopzilla, Pricegrabber etc?
Any experiences good or bad greatly appreciated. Just considering how to spend our very limited marketing budget! Also, Karen is keen on sponsored links (I'm not as I have never clicked on one in my life) so again any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Yes I deal with price comparison sites all the time, they work with an affiliate so you need to find out which affiliate(s) they use.
A word of warning, some of the bigger ones only use the biggest affiliate companies, to set up an account is anywhere between £2,000 and £5,000 with a monthly maintenance charge.
I use ClixGalore who have no setup fee and can normally get you up and running within 48 hours. Their customer service is outstanding, as when I first started a year ago I didn't have a clue, and now I have a much better grasp.
Also, I have had experience of a price comparison site who has their own 'adwords style' portal built in, so you can run text ads on a PPC basis.
Example, I ran a futon campaign but ran out of cash in only 2 days, as my advert was showing in the generic 'bedroom furnishings' section. I didn't convert so rang the account manager who drilled my advert down only to show on the futon pages. Less traffic, more targeted clicks, and finally I was getting conversions.
Good luck and please report back.

Could use Amazon as the also send your traffic to Shopzilla, but yes very good for this type of thing but you do need a good budget for your ROI
