Possibly, for which year is the statement? Have you submitted your SATR for that year?

I have submitted all my SATR for them years but they were late as i did not know what to do with them. This statement has balances brought forward from 06/07. I recieved this statement today.

impossible to tell from what you have said - get an accountant to look at this.
You will need all of your P45s plus your self employed accounts.
A professional will be able to tell straight away if this is correct.
However do not ignore it - it won't go away. You will have 30 days to appeal.

Great - without that no one can advise.
What is the date on the self assessment - if you want me to have a quick look then email me a scanned copy :)

Right - you will need to go back to what you were doing in that year then. Do you have all of the information available to back then?

If you cannot find any Forms P45, phone up your tax office and ask them to send you details of all employment income for the year in question. They should be able to supply you with the information.
