I had a call today from a company called worldwide who suggested they are doing a special campaign with Goggle which would give me unlimited PPC's for £99.00 for 31 days. They would also monitor who was viewing via PPC and block and competitors from doing so by tracking IP addresses.

Has anyone else been offered this "fantastic offer" from this company?

Yes, almost every day.

This is not reselling Google, this is long tail Adwords, or Local search targeted Adwords with little traffic compared to best performing keyword(s) of your site.

Steer clear of any agency who offers you this.

they are nothing to do with Google, but google don't seem to want to do anything about it.

I thought it was a little suspicious when he wanted to "sign me up straight away" suggesting that they only work with 1 company per market sector per local geographical area.

I also asked how they tracked IP addresses and how would they know if it was competitors, he suggested my question was like going into HMV and asking how they made CD's!!

Think I'll avoid this offer.

Thanks for the advice.

yeh it all sounds very dodgy - best if you just sign up yourself to adwords and have a go first. and remember nothing is unlimited!

Regular event for us this type of call. We will never respond to a cold call, which of course, could mean we are missing a bargain but we'll have to live with the risk!

This is true - I sometimes string them along, especially those pesky ones that continue calling even though I've told them to ***** before!

I must admit though, even though I've been stung in the past, I had one recently that worked for me. They actually accurately answered my jibes and questions.

My normal keyphrase is "heathrow taxi" and I know no one can do this for £100pm, so I asked them and they said December's stats showed that the monthly amount for this would be £15k which is much closer to the mark! I proceeded to then do a deal on a different keyword!
