website costs

I have been asked by a friend about the costs of designing a website, this is not my area of expertise. So how much do you designers charge per hour/day?

You'll get quotes varying from a couple of hundred to a couple of grand.

Your friend should get a full idea of what he needs (just 4 or 5 pages of static info? Contact forms? Does he already have his logo designed? Will he want to update the site himself? etc) and then get a few quotes and look at the portfolios of the people quoting.

Per hour, I'm paying between £25 and £40 depending on status of bloke within the company I'm using. Hope this helps.
