My Grandad died in mid-December and although I am not an executor I want to try and help my parents who are as they are having a problem.
The situation is this:
Probate was granted at the beginning of January and all but one of the organisations have paid out. One is fobbing the executors off and they are due to pay out several tens of thousands of pounds.
My question is that six weeks after probate if the latest promise of the cheque will arrive (either yesterday - didn't arrive - or today) is broken, is there any way to force this company to stop messing about? They're not disputing anything just delaying the payout.
I'd appreciate any advice you can give.
