hi all, ive just sent a paypal or 753$ for purchase to an american business of some goods.
Ive converted it and it should be £503.70 but the total came up as £513.70.
I tried converting it a number of times to make sure but it doesnt change at all, it seems paypal give a £10 charge or something, can anyone shed any light on this?? Maybe a fee for converting from GBP to USD maybe?
Many thanks
Ryan

what are you using to convert between $$ & ££, as in what rate are you using? are you using the same rate as PP?

Paypal is changing the rate at the same website as i usually use (xe.com)
thanks

And yeah the rate was literally the same, (not quite as it changes every few seconds) but to be literally exactly £10 difference, rather strange so theres got to be a simple answer.
thanks all

Not an expert but if you paid using your CC, paypal usually gives you an option to either let paypal handle your exchange and then you dont have any recourse to your CC. And also gives you a rate.
If you select CC then your exchange rate is dependent on you CC and you dont have a recourse to paypal for this transaction.
It could be completely wrong tho.
