UK Locations including postcode

Hi there

I'm looking for a list of UK locations: Country, County, Town/City, Village and the start of a postcode.

I'm going to append this to a record on my database so people can search for a specific service in a particular area.

Example...

England, Lincolnshire, Grimsby, Brigsley, DN37 would be appended to a database record so if someone searched for DN37 it would return services in Brigsley or Grimsby or Lincolnshire.

Does anyone know of such a list, or where one could be obtained from?

It doesn't have to be an exact science, just something that would act as a guide for people. I've seen this implemented in so many sites. Any advic on this subject would be fantastic, this is all very new to me.
